Purple leotard with ballet tights (ballet class)

Purple leotard with Shiny tights (tap)

Purple leotard with purple ankle or black 3/4 tights (jazz)

As long as it is in the colours of Black and Purple, then you can wear it. You are also still able to wear the original DW Dance printed if you have it. 

** Standard Leotards - Girls and Ladies are purple or black and either purchased at Bloch or Target / Kmart etc.

 ** Tights - Pink Ballet stockings, Tan Shiny or Fishnets are purchased at Bloch, Leggings of 3/4 or full in black or purple can be purchased at Bloch or Target / Kmart.

** Other items such as plain black dance pants, black cargo, black fisherman's, black Singlets can be purchased at a variety of retail outlets.

** We also have several pairs of pre loved shoes at DW Dance. Please do not hesitate to ask Miss Dodie about the shoes.

 Girls: BLOCH

«Purple DW leotard with Pink Ballet tights and Black chiffon ballet skirt OR

«DW Dance singlet with black mini shorts with Pink ballet tights.

 All grades up to grade 4 are to have split sole pink leather ballet shoes. Ribbons on shoes are to be worn at examinations only. Please ensure elastic is attached across top of foot for class, as this saves a lot of time for students who need to change their shoes. Pre Elementary and above are to have Satin, hard sole Demi Pointes and Pointe shoes for all ballet classes.

 Boys:

« DW Dance T-Shirt with Black full length cotton tights. White socks with white leather ballets fixed with elastic across top of foot.

 « Students may wear any combination of the uniform that is tight fitting. Students may also wear bone shiny stockings or fishnet stockings as well. Acrobatics require bare feet.

 HIP HOP:

 « Students may wear any combination of the uniform.

HAIR:             Girls: All to have hair in a bun  for all classes. No Fringes. Absolutely compulsory. Students that do not have their hair in accordance to studio policy will be asked to fix it, or they will have to sit down for the entire lesson period. This is a health and safety issue. Boys: Male students with lengthy hair must have a bandana or sweat band to ensure hair is kept out of eyes. This is also a health and safety issue.

SUPPORT:      Girls: Any females showing any sign of development must wear a bra.

                        Boys: Any males showing any signs of development or over 12 yrs must wear a jock support (these are available from Bloch). Note: correct support for both boys and girls is essential for their health and development.

PLEASE NOTE: It is DW DANCE policy that your mid-rift and cleavage are covered. Teachers do not wish to see any of your child’s underwear - Top or Bottom. Hipster style underwear or school style bloomers are not appropriate under ballet tights.
